Background Information:
When Hitler took control of Germany in 1933, he had a plan to transform Germany into a world empire. He made it known to the world that he was going to build up the military and slowly take back the land Germany had lost in previous wars. Even so, the leaders of the free world continued to appease him. Appeasement is a policy based on the belief that if European states satisfied Hitler’s “reasonable” demands, he would be content. This was not the case. Hitler kept pushing for one thing after another until his goal would be reached and he would be the leader of the Nazi Empire of Germany.

Project Description:
You know the book If you give a Mouse a Cookie…? This book perfectly exemplifies the tale of Adolf Hitler and the appeasement policy of the West. When Hitler asked for one thing, he received it. That would lead him to ask for something else, which he would also receive. Can you see a pattern? Your job is going to be to create a “children’s” book that describes Europe’s appeasement towards Hitler. )( IN GOOGLE SLIDES)
