United States Census

Good Evening METS Fans!

Your family might have received a postcard that looks like the one below. This postcard is how your parents/guardian must complete the United States Census (pronounced sens-us). If you don't have a postcard, that's fine, you can still complete the census using this link: https://2020census.gov/en/ways-to-respond.html

The United States Census is conducted every 10 years. The government uses the census to count the number of people that live in the United States. That's one of the ways they decide the amount of money to give to the 50 states. So basically, if people don't complete the census, the government sends less money to New Jersey to help us pay for the things we need like schools, teachers, roads, hospitals, police, EMTs,  etc.

When people don't complete the census, there are MORE people sharing LESS money.

Sounds pretty crowded ! !

Please encourage your parents/guardians to complete the census right away. It takes less than 10 minutes to do. I just did it for my family.

The questions are very simple. What is your address? Who lives with you? What are their birthdays? What race/ethnicity is each person that lives there? SUBMIT

If you have a question about this, you can email Mr. Dilley
and we'll best to answer it.
