During
our reading of "The Odyssey", we focused a lot on themes: faith,
identity, and ambition. What are the primary themes of Things Fall
Apart?
In your answer, list at least 3 things that you consider to be major themes of Things Fall Apart. Each theme must include some explanation as to why you've included it in your list. (can pick from here: Things Fall Apart Themes
Things Fall Apart (Pages 143-149 - Link in text).
After you've read the chapter, write a paragraph summary in which you explain how one of the themes from your Do Now persists throughout this chapter. Use one quote from the chapter to support how your theme is persisting throughout this section. One quote: "Okonkwo made a sound full of disgust. This was a womanly clan, he thought."
For example, if you responded with the theme of "family", you might write a paragraph on how Okonkwo is continuing to drift apart from his wives and children.
