After you've read the chapter, write a paragraph summary in which you explain how one of the themes from your Do Now persists throughout this chapter. Use one quote from the chapter to support how your theme is persisting throughout this section. One quote: "Okonkwo made a sound full of disgust. This was a womanly clan, he thought."

For example, if you responded with the theme of "family", you might write a paragraph on how Okonkwo is continuing to drift apart from his wives and children.
