On a piece of white paper, please write out this paragraph (below) and fill it in with your personalized answers. Then, please paste this paragraph onto colored construction paper along with your picture that you were supposed to submit last week of you holding your two favorite foods/snacks. This means that over winter break you have to find a way to print that ONE picture in colored ink and tape it to this project. Include your name, date, class/period/day somewhere on the colored construction paper. The graphic organizer that you will be given in class will also have to be taped/stapled to this project at the bottom. The letter to your fake cousin about eating junk food will also have to be taped/stapled to the right. The macromolecule cut-out activity will also have to be taped/stapled to the left. I will demonstrate what the final project should look like when I see you in class. This is due Jan 6 2020.

Hi!
My name is ________________. I am a ___(freshman)___ in high school, and currently in my Biology class we are learning about macromolecules. These are the biggest molecules that our bodies are made of if we just look closer, they are smaller than our trillions of cells. So I learned that the four macromolecules are _________, _________, _________, and _________, which can also be found in the foods that we eat! That is of course, except for _______________, as this only contains our genetic make up.

My two favorite foods/snacks are _____________, and ______________. I recently discovered that ___snack 1________ is a type of _____________, while ___snack 2____ is a type of ___________. The healthier snack ended up being _____________ because it contained less ________ and ________. The snack with the most calories was ___________. Calories are ___look up definition___, which means this one will take much more energy to burn off. When you do not burn these calories off _________________. This could be dangerous to your health. Making healthier food choices is something that I recently learned its importance.

Proteins are good for the body because ___________. My snacks contained about ____grams and ____grams of protein. Carbohydrates can be good for the body because _________. However, if you consume too much carbohydrates ___________________. My snacks contained _______grams and ______ grams of total carbs. Lastly, Lipids are necessary to the body because _____________. However, too much or too little of this can be harmful because ___________. My snack contained _______grams and ______ grams of fats.

The picture above is me holding my two favorite snacks. The diagram to the left explains how to understand and interpret food labels to see if the food is good or bad for your health. The graphic organizer at the bottom shows in detail what the four macromolecules are made of and how they relate to our foods. The letter to the right is one that I wrote to my hypothetical (fake) cousin named "Fast-Food Freddy", who has a terrible habit of eating bad foods so I explained to him all the possible harms of doing this. I hope that this project helped you understand more about the foods that you eat too! #food #protein #carbs #fats #macromolecules #foodlabels -----------------------ADD A TOTAL OF 10 HASHTAGS-------------
