Dec 3 (Edited Dec 3) Objectives - students will demonstrate an awareness of the Civil Rights movement by defining key relevant people, places, events, laws, and progress. 3 slides due per day 21 Slides - 7 themes Key rights VIOLATED or denied(Where, when, what rights) - 3 slides Key People or groups who were against equality (What their role was) - 2 slides How those rights were Violated (what policies or intimidation steps were put in place in order violate rights - see Jim Crow laws) - 4 slides Key Events that fueled the Civil Rights movement (Brown vs. Board of Education, Emmit Till, and others) - 4 slides Leaders who fought for those rights. (What rights/ Role in fighting) - 3 slides What they did to fight for those rights (court cases, marches, boycotts, etc.) - 3 slides How those rights were attained (key steps) - 2 slides Each Slide will have FOUR elements: 2-3 bullet points of information about the topic Title Background Color Image
